NZSL class waste of money

1st test taken and returned

Turned up to class on Monday and was handed a test to complete. So no accomdations. Thankfully it was a short assessment on filling out forms.

I complained about the lack of accommdations and have promised them in future(we will see).The current plan is we will book a Reader/Writer a couple of times a week(we have 22 units in 17 weeks)

Back to the filling in forms test. I need to do a resubmit because my explation of my work skills wasn't up to scratch

The quote came in cheaper than exepted but it still $7140.00

The good thing is I will be able to use this FM set up till I replace my Hearing aids

                                But

"Training Support Funds can only be used for training opportunities that are linked to the NZQA framework, or involve other educational institutions approved by the Ministry of Social Development.
Only applications which are consistent with realistic and reasonable outcomes for the individual will be approved.

Workbridge(VR) update

Found out the microphones I need for group discussions run off different software to the Smartlnks. Great way to make money Phonak.

So I  need to put in workbridge(VR) application for 2 Phonak Inspiro FM systems. Team teaching happens most lectures

I need a iPhone stand when I'm using ioverlayplus because of the CP I don't have the hand function to hold the iPhone/iPad and move the pages/write on the page

So Workbridge(VR) have said I need to apply for technological and educational assessment. I have booked an appointment with Disability Support Services Coordationer for Wednesday

FM issues not sorted yet

How do you change the channel on the FMs?I read the manual and they wont change channel.



The tutors team teach alot so is it possible to have the SX and the +(1 on the table so I can hear the group and 1 worn by the tutor) being received at the same time by the Nios(hearing aids)



If is the smartlinks cant be used in tadem. Is the Inspiro  and Dynamicmic the best choice?



Have (VR) pay for the Inspiro and Dynamics?This course is six months long and therefore doesn't meet the Enable(hospital) rules.

Great class minus a few FM issues

I wasnt told there is a heavy focus on group work hoping I can run two FMs with one set of aids to fix this problem

Plan for the group work is to use a conferance mic in the center of the table. Will post about this later

Flexi on how you take notes providing you take some.Somehow.I used pictures for something today.

IEP was gone over with tutors and they had forgotten it by the start date
